The line

It all starts with drawing: a fountain pen given by her mother at fifteen, then charcoal, discovered at the Maison pour tous de Recouvrance in Brest.

The artist

Trained outside art school, with the painter Barazer in Roscoff and then other artists, Nassera Le Guern paints nudes, portraits, figurative and abstract works. She works in series and through trial.

I always start from reality. Then painting opens up another possibility.
